Colors: Planters are available in a wide variety of colors.
Material: Constructed using 100% virgin polyethelene for added strength vs. recycled material. This also means that color remains consistent throughout the entire planter so that scuffs & scratches are far less noticeable.
UV Protection: UV stabilizers are added to prevent fading and weathering
Graffiti Resistant: In the unfortunate event that the planter is “tagged” it can be easily removed with a mild solvent or pressure washer
Construction: Rotational molded. Double wall construction for added durability. One piece unit for uniform thickness and strength. Material is designed to absorb impact and will not crack like fiberglass or concrete.
Winterizing: Our planters can be left outdoors during winter freeze up without having to drain the water reservoir. Ice will simply expand up the double constructed walls
Water Capacity: Our self watering planters feature extra large water reservoirs ranging from 30-40 gallons for added days in between watering. Plant food can be added directly to the reservoir for a continuous supply of nutrients for impressive blooms.
Design: It is important that self watering planters have the following (3) features in order to avoid drowning and/or root rot.
(1) Drainage holes – Planting medium must be able to effectively drain moisture back into water reservoir after heavy rainfall
(2) Air Gap – There must be an air gap between the planting compartment and the water reservoir to provide aeration and allow enough space for water to drain
(3) Overflow hole – Prevents water reservoir from being overfilled.
